Choosing the Best Canvas Storage
79Canvas Storage
This Hub is designed to be an all-in-one information stop for all things canvas storage. When I think of canvas storage I think of camping, outdoors activities where having something light and easy to pack into a small place is necessary to keep everything together. However, that's just a small element of the ways canvas is used today. It is not unusual to see canvas covered boxes and bins used for home storage, or as a nicer alternative to the generic cardboard boxes used in the same way. It works well, and looks good, which can be important if the container will be regularly seen by guests or family members.
Canvas Storage Bins
Canvas storage bins are like regular bins, except they are either covered in a thick canvas, or are just made entirely out of canvas. As you may have already guessed, the benefits to this are numerous. For one thing, the containers are much stronger than cardboard, and so can both hold heavier things than cardboard could, and can withstand a lot more abuse. This is important if they get heavily used in your home.
Another benefit here is that they look good. They can come in any color, and their texture and look would fit in great on a shelf in the living room or a closet that people often walk by. It's especially useful in smaller studios or homes that don't have much room for storage, and so need decorative storage containers to keep them looking good.
Canvas Storage Boxes
I use bins and boxes somewhat different here. Storage bins are basically designed to not have a top on them, whereas boxes are. So canvas storage boxes will keep your things a little more private from nosy, prying eyes. Other than that though, they function in much the same way. Canvas storage boxes will go a long way towards neatness, functionality, and just hiding your messy things away where no one has to look at them. At least that's what I do with them sometimes...
Canvas Storage Bags
Canvas storage bags will do a fine job of keeping heavy duty equipment together and easy to carry around with you. I often use them in the garage for just this reason, and if you were to do a search online, you'd find that many online stores that sell them do so for work related reasons. So you're in good company.
Canvas bags that you can throw over your shoulder are the kinds of things I usually picture outdoorsman using, as they have a low chance of tearing while camping (imagine suddenly not having anything to carry all your gear in!) They also come with outdoor gear, like tents with a matching canvas bag, so you may not even need to purchase a separate bag.
Canvas Storage Baskets
Canvas storage baskets are similar to bins, but I put a couple specific types of bins in this group. For one, canvas storage baskets is a term typically used to describe something you could use to keep your child's toys and whatnot in. Baskets are often made in lighter colors, light pinks and blues, or multi-colored and patterned to fit into a variety of room decorations. They're great for keeping toys, or linens, or even diaper bag essentials in when not in use. Or they also could work as a cute trash can for the child's room!
The other thing you may see canvas storage baskets used for would be in pantries and closets, to help keep supplies together. You can get a storage unit that hold multiple canvas baskets, and put your aluminum foil, sandwich bags, cereal boxes, trash bags, or practically anything else inside. These units are useful and readily available online, though you may be able to find them in home improvement stores as well.
Conclusion
Regardless of the job you're looking for, canvas storage has something available for you. Though the units are usually a little more expensive than their cardboard or even plastic counterparts, their stylish, unique look, combined with excellent functionality and impressive strength make them a valid choice for many uses.

Yeh, I think I need more storage too. My apartment didn't come with much storage and canvas storage boxes and baskets are a great way to simply and easily add capacity. Right now I'm using plastic boxes, and they're not so nice.

You can also get fold up ones which are handy and can be hidden away if the storage is no longer needed.
